1st Detect critical infrastructure application

The constant risk of terrorist attacks around the world has greatly expanded the need for detecting threats to our national and local infrastructure. There exists a significant threat at public buildings and utilities (e.g., water supplies) as access to the building and support structures (e.g., HVAC vents) is relatively uncontrolled.

Today's instruments do not have the versatility and low false alarm rate to be successfully deployed in these scenarios. Due to its advanced mass spectrometer technology, the 1st Detect Miniature Chemical Detector could be deployed in air ducts, water supplies, and at high traffic locations to sense trace vapors emanating from potential threats. The low false alarm rate means that highly accurate detection is possible without disruption or the risk of high regret consequences.
