- Thomas B. Pickens III – Chairman

- Mr. Pickens is President and Chief Executive Officer of 1st Detect's parent company, Astrotech Corporation and was appointed to Chairman of the Board in 2008. Mr. Pickens has founded and served as Chairman and CEO for many companies during the startup, growth and turnaround phases of a company's lifecycle, specializing in value creation.
- John Porter – Chief Executive Officer

- Prior to joining 1st Detect, Mr. Porter co-founded Arabella Securities in 2003, heading the Equity Research department, and published research on companies in the Healthcare Technology sector. Mr. Porter previously served as Director of Business Development for Luminex Corporation, responsible for the development, negotiation and management of Luminex's strategic partnerships.
- David Rafferty – President and Chief Technology Officer

- Mr. Rafferty leads the technical development of the 1st Detect Miniature Chemical Detector. Mr. Rafferty has 19 years of engineering experience in the Aerospace and Mass Spectrometry industries. Prior to SPACEHAB / 1st Detect, Mr. Rafferty led the electronics development of the Trace Gas Analyzer, a handheld mass spectrometer used by Space Station astronauts.
- Dr. James Jacobson – Chief Scientific Officer

- Dr. Jacobson has more than 20 years of experience in research, development and commercialization of a broad range of research and medical products. Prior to joining 1st Detect, Dr. Jacobson served in a variety of positions at Luminex Corporation, including Chief Scientific Officer, Vice President of Research and Development and Vice President of Technical Operations.
- Charles York – Chief Financial Officer

- Mr. York serves as 1st Detect's Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since joining in March 2009. Mr. York brings ten years of experience in corporate finance and accounting and currently has management oversight and responsibility for all financial functions of the Company. Prior to joining 1st Detect, Mr. York served as Director of Accounting for Arthrocare Corp.
- Dr. James Wylde – V.P. Business Development

- Dr. Wylde has over 15 years experience in developing miniaturized systems for advanced technology, security, and instrumentation applications at Nortel Networks, Smart Nanomaterials, and Bookham Technology. He also has an extensive network in the chemical detection industry and has engaged key potential receptors for the instrument proposed here as well as led the effort to engage partners for the security, healthcare and industrial markets.
